![]() I have never been one for rules. They can often smoother an otherwise creative person, condemning them to write to dull, boring crap. So, I shall try to go light on the rules. Most of these are nothing you haven't seen before, and I feel they are all pretty fair. Rules of Conduct 2) Keep it fairly clean. I'm OK with an occasional expletive to drive home a point. But lay off the detailed sex scenes and three expletive per sentence posts. 3) Be creative. I can not stress this enough. There is nothing more annoying then a one line post. Get some imagination into your character's actions, speech and personality. Did I mention no one line posts? 4) Keep up with the game. We will be posting two to three times a week. That shouldn't be to hard to keep up with, and if it is, don't join. If you find you are going to be otherwise occupied for a period of time, let me know. As long as I am informed, I have no problem with you attending funerals, time traveling, going on vacations, or any other normal distractions. If you don't post for a while, you will be removed from the game if I receive no word from you. Nothing new there. 5) Have fun. Wow, how very grade school teacher of me. But really. Create a character you will enjoy playing. Join the game because it sounds fun, not because you are really desperate. 6) Spell check. OK, I might sound like a Nazi, but it really bugs me when the spelling is bad. Go up to tools, then drag down to spelling. Not that hard. I have horrible spelling, so, if I can do it, you can too. I'm not an English teacher, a misspelling here and there is not a big deal, but at least try spell check. Good grammar is also very, very nice. Posting Rules: More rules! Makes you just want to burst into song, doesn't it? The following are just some guidelines to keep the game organized and working smoothly. When you send out posts, they will go out to all the players. This is important business that everyone needs to see. Less important matters, however, should not bother everyone. If you have a GM question, quietly zip it off to me, and me alone. If you want to post a bit of dialogue between you and another PC, don't send it off to the whole group until it is finished. We don't want to receive your dialogue one e-mail at a time. Try to be courteous of other people's inboxes. Some people actually have lives and lots of e-mail. They don't need to be spamed. Well, you made it through all the rules! I have tried not to be to strict. And most of the rules can be bent now and again. E-mail me if you have any questions. |
